Carsten K. Rath, Founder & CEO

The passionate hotelier with more than 20 years of experience in the international luxury hospitality and tourism industry started his career with a classical hospitality apprenticeship. Later, he followed part-time studies in Business Administration at the Academy of hospitality Management in Koblenz while working as F&B Director at the Kempinski Hotel Taschenbergpalais in Dresden. His professional career took the graduate in economics to four continents, where he worked in the internationally renowned grand hotel industry from Kempinski to The Ritz Carlton in different departments. He proved his management and leadership competencies with challenging openings of renowned luxury hotels, such as the Hotel Grande Roche in Paarl near Cape Town, the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Centre, Kempinski Hotel Taschenbergpalais in Dresden, the Kempinski Hotel Adlon in Berlin, the Hotel Kempinski The Bentley in London and the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida.

Later, Carsten K. Rath was responsible for all Robinson clubs worldwide as a Managing Director. Afterwards, he worked as President & CEO of Arabella Hotel Holding International for three years and was also Chairman of the Arabella Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Furthermore he was a member of the management team of the Schörghuber company group in addition to his executive management activities. During this period Carsten K. Rath was member of supervisory boards of several international hotel and tourism companies such as Design Hotels and aovo. He is advisor of the University of Applied Sciences Worms, where he also holds lectures, and of the International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef /Bonn in the tourism department. Carsten Rath was honored as “Host of the year” in 2006 . In 2007 he was awarded with the Innovation Prize of the German tourism industry.

The 44-year-old Carsten K. Rath is the Founder & CEO and shareholder of the Lifestyle Hospitality & Entertainment Management AG, which operates the Kameha Grand Bonn. The LH&E Management AG is a management company for international Lifestyle Hotels & Resorts and Private Residences. The LH&E Management AG is a corporation with headquarter in the city Zug in Switzerland and was founded by private investors.
